Getting God's eye-view
Encouragement and closing
When you shift your thoughts to recognize God's presence and power in your circumstances, His truths will transform your perspective, which in turn can change your reality. Changing your perspective to change your circumstances acknowledges God's more powerful perspective: Your perspective is directive, meaning what you focus on -align yourself with- is what you receive. When you focus on God's truth over your circumstances, you are no longer powerless. You can ask God what He is teaching you and trust that His purpose will stand. "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." (Proverbs 19:21) By focusing on God's abundant nature, love, and provision, you align with His will, your transformation, leading you to His desire, which is good, pleasing and perfect.
- Let God's truth be your guide: When you focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy, (Philippians 4:8), you are recognizing His presence, that He is all-powerful, and that His character prevails your circumstances. This shift in focus helps decrease fear and anxiety, and in-turn you can recognize His power in you, making you able. God's desire is to lead you to greater joy and contentment. Psalm 16:11 says, "You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand."
- Trust in His abundance: As your perspective shifts, remember that God is abundant in love, grace, and provision. He desires for you to know Him as the God of abundance, and as you trust in Him, He will provide what you need. 1 Timothy 6:6 warns against our trust in money for our sustenance instead of God for all means of provision. When we recognize Him in all that we need, we set ourselves up to receive what He gives, which is blessings in abundance. When we think it's all in our own power, or in someone else's we are receiving from the deceiver who wants to trap us in fears, convincing us that we have been abandoned by your Heavenly Father. (Sound like the spirit that he attempted to destroy your child with, is now attempting to attack you? Pray that off!) Read Psalm 13 out loud.
- Recognize His work: When you change your perspective, you can recognize God's work in your life through setbacks, fiery trials, dissatisfaction, unanswered prayers, or broken relationships (Philippians 4:6). When you approach God with these challenges with a spirit of humility (a trait Satan despises), asking what lessons He is teaching you, and verbalizing your trust in His power, your circumstances and your character will change. This can lead to a transformation, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “old things are passed away; behold, all things are made new”.
- He is Faithful: Our God "Is able to do immeasurably more that all we ask or imagine, according to the power that is at work within us, (so that) to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20)
- "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on you." (Isaiah 26:3)
- "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose confidence is in Him." (Jeremiah 17:7)
- "Show me Your way, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long." Say out loud with David, "In You Lord, I put my trust, My hope is in you all day long!" (Psalm 25)
Remember who Jesus is, that He is the Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is the gospel, your salvation through your belief. God's Word never fails and cannot be overcome, only our refusal to accept it renders it useless in our own life. When we accept Him for all areas of our life, we will see: "If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also rein with Him. If we disown Him, He will also disown us; if we are faithless, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown Himself." (2 Timothy 2:8-13) For we can "be confident in this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:16) That work was begun when you accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and began the journey of belief and trust, do not depart from it.
Colossians 3:15-17, decide in yourself, that you will choose today.
Be the one who chooses to be the living testimony, "Trust Me enough to demonstrate My holiness."(Numbers 20:12) Don't miss the blessing, and the promise!
You can walk in blessing, because He is trustworthy.
