Submitted life, happy wife

As I wrap up this study, I admonish you to read the book of Proverbs.  I am able to see it so much more richly now, and I hope you are too; as you consider your responsibility in submitting to God's word and your influence on your husband and children.  Read as much as you can in one sitting, paying attention to when "she" is used: is this a description of what you have learned and who you are becoming, or a warning against what you are doing or have done?  Are you poisoning your husband and children with your words and actually leading them astray?  Do you build up in alignment with Gods' word, or are you tearing down?  Are you a fountain of blessing, or is Satan using you to deceive: an immoral woman in word and deed?  Are you drowning out Wisdom, that your husband and kids can't hear God speak through your pious ranting?

Oh, take heart, confess, and let go of the broken woman you've been!  God created you to build up!  You are the created helpmeet!  Allow Him to pour the waters of refreshing over you, to change you that you would become the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31.  You might be thinking "it is impossible, I am a mom of too many children, or my children too young to be so lovely- it is easier for an older woman to be all these things."  Don't listen to this lie.  One thing at a time; allow Holy Spirit to speak to you about what needs to be broken off and what needs to grow in you.  God created you!  He knows, and He gave you everything you need to be that lovely woman.

Maybe you think "I have this diagnosis, it is a physical or mental disability that makes it impossible for me to be such a wonderful woman."  Do not believe this lie either!  Oh, how God has made you!  Even a woman with no physical capabilities, a paraplegic, can speak life and love over her husband and children. It does not take arms and legs to be a woman of the Word!

If it is a mental thing, brains can be rewired!  Look into the studies of brain re-wiring and train your brain on God's word and find good support! Maybe you are blind, deaf, or mute: you were able to receive this word, you can receive God's Word, and He is still your creator.  He has given you gifts the rest of us cannot perceive and will look over even if he has given us them.  I know a lovely woman who is blind and is such a blessing to those around her; she speaks encouragement everywhere she goes.

Do we really ever have an excuse?  Break off those lies!!  You are a daughter of the King!!  You are blessed and highly favored to bless others!  Walk in His ways and you will begin to see the blessings.  I hope, and I am sure, that by this time you are already walking and seeing change.  Keep pursuing God's word.  Submitting to Him, and you will see how the submitted life makes for a happy wife.

I don't know you, but I love you.  I see you as the little girls that have grown up and need to continue to shed those things you have picked up along the way that have held you down: convinced you that a life of bitterness is all you will live and all you can offer.  It's not true.  Stay grounded in God's truth for you and experience healing.  I dare say, you will even experience physical healing as you submit to Him with joy.

And now, as you lay down this book, please, pick up the book of Proverbs.  Stay in God's Word.  Spend more time in Ephesians, Colossians, Philippians.  Keep writing His word and meditating on it.  He has a beautiful life and a beautiful marriage for you; it is here, it is now, it is with the man you said "yes" to.
