Draw near to God, and spur one another

Hebrews 10:19 admonishes us to live a new way, connected to our great high priest to whom we can draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of our faith.  We can be cleansed of a guilty conscience and live in alignment with Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit working out holiness in us. Reflect that I earlier urged you to consider "let him"; what are we to let our husbands do that we have been holding him back on?  Now, look at these verses that say "let us".  This is important, because we are each and all responsible for our actions to align here, where as the other was an allowance of others, specifically our husbands whom we have a lot of control over.

v 22 "Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water."  We are to no longer consider ourselves in the view of lack, bitterness, brokenness, or shame.  We are cleansed and made holy to come before the Lord with our prayers and petitions.  Cast off that attitude, that character, that little demon that torments you, and often then points to your husband and says it is his fault.  You are no longer a woman of shame, stop living that way.  Seek God for yourself, it is not up to your husband or anyone else.  Remember, God delights in you!  Zephaniah 3:17 We are told that in our obedience to honor the Lord, he will take away our punishment, "He is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing."  Remember that when that longing for someone to praise you or lift you up comes, He is rejoicing over you when you are living in His way.  Slow down to hear Him!

v 23 "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful."  Stop being tossed by circumstances and emotions.  Stop looking to the left and the right for approval.  Stop comparing yourself and him to others.  Stay rooted, grounded in the Lord's admonitions and promises.  Your hope is not a vapor, it is in God eternal, omnipotent, merciful, just, and desiring of you.  Look up the names of God.  Look up who He says you are.  Remember Ephesians 1:5, you were His to start, and He chose you again even when you had been severed from Him.  He paid the price to call you His daughter again, this time that nothing could take you from Him.  Look that up.  When we are confident in our relationship with God, our struggle on the horizontal plane- with each other and our husbands- will diminish.

v 24 "Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds."  Now, since we are filled up, confident in our relationship with God, we can spur our husbands, and fellow women on.  Never bring discouragement!

v25 "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-- and all the more as you see the Day approaching." We encourage our husbands to meet with other men, and we meet with other women.  Yes, in the church we are mixed, but it is important to also have those times of fellowship and iron sharpening iron: where mentoring and accountability can happen.  For the purpose of encouragement.  If you find your gathering with a complaining group of women, find a new group if you can't impact them otherwise.  Yes, there are so many circumstances we can see through a negative shade, but consider the light God is shining on it, and wants us to reflect Him too!

So let us.  Let me.  Let you.  Don't project these things on to others.  You are responsible, for you have been saved for this purpose! Be Confident!  Hebrews 10:35-36 "so do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded.  You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised."

Now take this, who you are in Christ, your confidence as a daughter of the High King, to become the queen for your earthly king.
