Becoming his biggest cheerleader
There is hope. Hope for our family provision, and to be able to give more freely. Lord, help me to give more freely the positive words. Words that show reverence to You, Chris, and the kids. Break off the frustration that locks up my lungs and takes the life out of me. Help me to do breath prayers before responding carnally. I want to build up Chris and the kids. I want us to be a joyful family full of team players- looking out for each other, but it starts with me. I have to be the lookout, the cheerleader that leads our family to a rally. Lord help me to lead this team positively.
Proverbs 9:13 "A foolish woman is clamorous; she is simple, and knoweth nothing."
Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."
Debi Pearl, "A wise woman always receives her husband's overtures with delight, no matter how clumsy he may be.... Deference to your man is the height of true femininity. It makes a woman beautiful, gracious, and lovely to all."
I have no excuse, I have a good, God-seeking man, destined for greatness... I must show him reverence so he can exceed the earthly dross of life and grasp God's desires for him and for our family.
Here's some ways I can live this out:
Instead of: Show preference/reverence:
-finding his faults and speaking them aloud +notice his good intentions and actions and praise
-sharing his faults with others +lift him up and share endearing traits
-expressing exhaustion/frustration at the end of the day +greet him with joy and share highlights
-letting tired take over my passionate gratitude +praise him with kisses
-expressing frustration over something overlooked +Requests w/ praise: "You're really good at... can you please....?"
-trumping my ideas +asking for his and listening
-jealous of his response to help others +commend him for being a servant, dependable
-critical of his work ethic and style +thankful for his work ethic and style: he's depended on, follows through, is know to respond with knowledge and skills
-pointing out weight gains +encouraging, "youthful, handsome, strong, dreamy"
-complaining about time we don't get +encourage as he studies and through any losses.
++Be his biggest cheerleader: Cheerleaders never give up on their guys and bring rally moments!
