A letter written with love
Lamentations 3:25-33 "The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is food for a man to bear the yoke while he is young. Let him sit alone in silence, for the Lord has laid it on him. Let him bury his face in the dust- there may yet be hope. Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace. For men are not cast off by the Lord forever. Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love. For He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men."
I will hope in the Lord. No matter my circumstances. Because all circumstances can be used for His glory, point me to Him, and give me reason to draw near to Him. Whether I walk in the valley or rest on the mountain with a great view, He is with me. His delight is in me. Lord, give me the eyes, the heart to delight in those you've given me to care for. To care as you care for me.
I write not because I have overcome all the trials, but because I seek the One who has victory over every trial. I write not because I have mastered submission, being a wife, or being a mother, but because I am sitting at the feet of the master, asking "how?" I write to myself, because if it is written I will have greater success at completing, because if I write it I will believe it that much more, because if I write it, I have taken the first step of submitting and overcoming. I share with others because it is what I am called to do- if I have received encouragement, I am to share it (Philippians 2:1). I write not because I am a great writer, aspire to be a best-selling author, or think I have great wisdom to share, but because I sit before the Great Author, who imparts wisdom when He is sought (James 1:5), and it is a way for me to practice speaking life to others; I have found it delights me to speak life (Proverbs 18:21)! He has strengthened me and I am convinced, there is no other from which such strength can be found (Isaiah 40:29).
I pray, that as you read these words, you will seek Your Heavenly Father and ask Him how you are to apply His Word to your life. He loves you and cares so deeply for you. (John 3:16... And His whole love letter, we know as the Bible.)
